The path is 10 km long and covers the themes of water and minor heritage spread over 9 “resorts”:

- The Ognon and its origins, man’s use of the river, the Ognon as a natural environment, its river life, its fast-flowing course and its floods, fishing, sand quarries and the formation of ponds.

- Lure, its history and heritage; history of the village of Vouhenans, history of Les Granges de la Vigne ; Vouhenans’ heritage, the church, the Cross, fountains, wash-houses, former lime kilns.

The path has been called the “Onde” (wave) because the word gives a poetic evocation of water, which is the predominant element on the circuit: ponds, the Ognon river, fountains and wash-houses.
